TOOLBUS: Enterprise Architect Importer for IBM Rational Software Modeler

The TOOLBUS: Enterprise Architect Importer for Rational Software Modeler enables the import of UML Models from Sparx Enterprise Architect into IBM Rational Software Modeler (RSM), Rational Software Architect (RSA) and Rational Systems Developer (RSD), and it supports
- UML Activity Diagrams,
- UML Class Diagrams,
- UML Component Diagrams,
- UML Sequence Diagrams,
- UML State Chart Diagrams, and
- UML Use Case Diagrams.

The UML objects from Enterprise Architect are converted to RSM/RSA/RSD with their attributes and documentation. The layout of the UML Diagrams from Enterprise Architect is maintained in RSM, RSA and RSD.

Tagged Values: A RSA Profile can be generated automatically for tagged values used in the Enterprise Architect model, or an existing RSA Profile can be assigned to be used by the importer.

The TOOLBUS: Enterprise Architect Importer for RSM can process both Enterprise Architect Projects (EAP files and database repositories) and XMI export files.

The evaluation version is restricted to the import of a maximum of 30 UML Classes, 30 UML Use-Cases, and 30 UML Activities into RSM, RSA or RSD.
